The Scholar school (branch) inaugurated by National Coordinator





Kolkata: Human Welfare Foundation is going to start the project of Residential school at Rabibhag, Howrah district of West Bengal in collaboration with Madinatul Ulum, Rabibhag, Howrah, West Bengal.
The administration office of the project inaugurated by National Coordinator Jb Salimullah Khan sb on 13th July ’10. The office built for to maintenance & developed the project smoothly.
The chairman of Madinatul Ulum as well as Ameer-e-Halqa, W.B Dr. Rahmat Ali Khan presided over the programmed. That day also were present distinguish guest secy & office secy of JIH WB Jb. Mashiur Rahman and Mohd. Yusuf sb, engineer and wb state coordinator jb Ayub Tirur and Z.A.Gazi, secy. Madinatul Ulum jb Kazi Abdur Razzaq, local Panchayet pradhan Shrimati Doloi and others.
For the better implementation of that project Jb. Salimullah Khan sb and other responsible persons discussed with the Managing Committee of Madinatul Ulum on the same day.

APCR Held 4th Annual General Body Meeting In Kerala




New Delhi 7 June :To evaluate the annual progress, discuss important organizational matters and formulate the plan of action for the following year, Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) has organized its annual general body meeting at Hotel Malabar Plaza in Cochin, Kerala from 5-6th June , 2010 . The meeting was attended by a number of special invitees from different parts of the country, apart from the founder members of APCR. On the first day, the annual report and annual plan of action has been discussed in detail. Among the prominent works done during the preceding year includes training of para-legal social activists, fact finding visits of human rights violations cases, advocacy on communal violence bill-09 and mass awareness on civil and human rights cases in different parts of the country.

Among the major decisions taken in the meeting, The general body of APCR decided to a setup a Centre viz APCR’s Centre for Research, Training and Documentation on Civil Rights to facilitate the objectives of APCR and cater the needs of the field apart from organizing training workshops at Regional and District level. On the front of Legal Help and Guidance chapter level a Cell for Legal Help and Guidance will be formed comprising competent and dedicated advocates and activists and at District and Local level Legal Clinics will be opened comprising competent and dedicated advocates and activists. The meeting also decided to hold Professor Iqbal Ansari Memorial Lecture in New Delhi every year on his death anniversary to advance the cause and issues Prof. Ansari was committed for.

On this occasion, an informal meeting of human rights activists, academician, legal luminaries, and journalists also took place on 5th evening followed by dinner. In the informal gathering, participants discussed both regional as well as national issues related to human rights. Eminent personalities present at this occasion were Justice Ghafoor, Porf. Baha Uddin, V M Ibrahim, Yasin Ashraf, Justice Khalid, Basheer Kunnil are to name a few.

A public meeting was also organized on 6th June , 2010 at MES Hall, Kaloor, 4:30 PM. Justice V R Krishna Iyer, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India was the chief guest. The public meeting was addressed by Prof. K Aravinadamaksham, eminent Human Rights Activist , Prof. K A Siddiq Hassan, General Secretary, APCR , Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, Human Rights Activist, Gujarat , Adv. Pulikkool Aboobacker, Kerala High Court and presided by Advocate Yusuf Hatim Muchachala, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and National President, APCR. The topic of the public meeting was National Security, Draconian Laws and Civil Rights.

MASS MARRIAGE PROGRAMME SOLMANISED IN ASSAM




Guwahati , 31 May : Mass Marriage of 95 couple of bride and bridegrooms hailed from different rural places of Assam are solemnized on 30th May 2010 at Manisha Marriage Hall, Guwahati under the aegis of Human Welfare Foundation and Assam Falah Society. In the programme dignitaries like Dr. Nazrul Islam, Hon’ble Minister, Minority Affairs and Civil Supply, Mr. Akon Bora, Hon’ble MLA and former president AGP, Mr. Abdul Khalek, MLA, Assam, Prof. K.A. Siddique Hassan, General Secretary, Human Welfare Foundation, New Delhi, Mr. P.I. Haneefa, M.K. Farook from Trivandram, K.M. Najeeb from Malapurram, Abdul Latheef P.K. from Kalour, Kerela, Prof Atowar Rahman, Gauhati University, Prof. Dewan Abdul Qadir addressed and offered blessings to the new couple. Obserbing the ideal method Dr. Nazrul Islam told that such programme will be able to eradicate the ugly practice of dowry and will decrease useless expenditures incurred in modern society. The ritual performances are performed by Maulana Baharuddin Ahmed Qasimi, President All Assam Qazi Association.

VISION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (VIT) INAUGURATED





Rampur, Assam: On May 31 Vision Institute of Technology, Rampur (VIT) Assam inaugurated under the sponsorship oh Human Welfare Foundation, New Delhi on 31st May 2010. The Institute is being managed by Insan Welfare Society, Rampur. At present two trades like computer Training and Dress Making and Fashion Designing will be imparted. In the programme dignitaries like Prof. K.A. Siddique Hassan, General Secretary, Human Welfare Foundation, New Delhi, Mr. P.I. Haneefa, M.K. Farook from Trivandram, K.M. Najeeb from Malapurram, Abdul Latheef P.K. from Kalour, Kerela, Prof. Dewan Nazrul Qadir addressed the meeting and explained the necessity of the Institute.
