Saudi Ambassador inaugurated OPD in Al-Shifa Hospital


New Delhi 20 July :His Excellency Mr. Faisal Bin Hassan Ahmed Trad, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to India, inaugurated today the Out Patient Department (OPD) of newly constructed Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital at Dawat Nagar, Abul Fazl Enclave, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi.
While inaugurating the OPD Service at AL-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital, His Excellency said that construction of such a hospital with social concern was the need of the hour and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind deserves the credit for such social service projects which are being implemented for over six decades in the length and breadth of the country. The Ambassador appreciated the initiatives taken as part of Vision 2016 program and wished it all success.
The Hospital aims at providing affordable, dignified healthcare through innovation and commitment, accessible to the poorest of the poor man, said Prof. Siddique Hassan, Chairman, Vision 2016 project. This is a Hospital with a difference, he added.
This 150 bedded Al-Shifa Multi-Speciality Hospital situated at Dawat Nagar, Abul Fazl Enclave, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi is built on 40,000 Sq. Ft of land with an estimated cost of Rs. 15 crore. In the first phase, the hospital is starting its services with 40 beds. It is equipped with state-of-the-art operation theatres, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) along with modern labour room and air conditioning.
The Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital is constructed by the Human Welfare Trust, New Delhi as a part of Vision 2016 program, which aims at transformation of the social landscape of the country and making a society having peace, prosperity and justice for all.
Along with the trustees of Human Welfare Trust and staff members of the Hospital, the inaugural ceremony was also attended by dignitaries like Her Excellency, Dr. Khadija Radman Mohamed Ghanem, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to India, Maulana Jalaluddin Umri, President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind & Chairman, Human Welfare Trust, Dr. Zafrul Islam Khan, President All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat, Mr. Muhammad Jafar, Vice-Chairman, Human Welfare Foundation, Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mehdi, Secretary General All India Jamiat Ahle Hadith and Mr. Nusrat Ali, Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Khayyal of Sharjah visited Jamaat headquarter


New Delhi 20th May, 2011: An acclaimed businessman, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Khayyal of Sharjah visited the headquarter of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. He said that the welfare program of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in the field of social, economical and educational is a matter of appreciation.

He further said that the works of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind should be widen and explore to benefit a large number of people.

He also visited the Alshifa Multispeciality hospital and Research Centre, a 300 bed Hospital which is going to be started soon in the premises of Dawat Nagar, Okhla. While visit to the hospital, Sheikh Khayyal highlighted the need of starting the hospital in Okhla. He said that by its opening a large number of people including residents of Okhla will be able to take better treatment of all kind at affordable charges.

Thereafter, he visited Sahulat microfinance institution whose purpose is to provide loan on easy instalment without taking interest to weaker section of the society.

Sheikh showed immense happiness and appreciated the efforts of HWT for its remarkable work by opening a grand and Multispeciality hospital.

He also discussed with the dignitaries of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind President JIH, Ml Sayyed Jalaluddin Umri Saheb,General Secretary of JIH Jb Nusrat Ali Vice President Prof. K. A. Siddique Hassan, Vice President Jb. Mohammad Jafar Saheb , Syed Ghulam Akbar, Jb, Rafeek Ahmad, Jb. Rizwan Rafiquee etc.

He became glad by the warm welcome of Jamaat.

WF adopts Muradabad’s village – Malik Pallupura










New Delhi / Muradabad1st may: The fate of the deprived village Malik Pallupura of Muradabad is now going to change as Delhi based national NGO has adopted to make it a ‘Model village’.

Human Welfare Foundation (HWF) decided to adopt Malik Pallupura village after sending an expert’s team to survey and assess the social, economical and educational conditions of the village. HWF chalked out a three-year plan to achieve its target to make it as a model village free from all types of backwardness. Building orphan homes, homes for poor, sewing class centre for girls and successfully obtaining all government’s development schemes for the village, are parts of three-year plan.

Chief Guest on the occasion, Ambassador of Oman for India, Hamid Bin Ali Alma’ani has laid the foundation stone of development plans for the village in the inaugural function held on the occasion.

Terming the relations between India and Oman as very strong, Mr. Hamid Ali lauded such type of efforts while addressing the function.

A sewing class centre inaugurated and key of a house built under the scheme was handed over to a homeless person, Khalil Ahmed in the function.

HWF’s General Secretary, K. A. Siddique Hassan invited the social, political and local persons to work jointly to bring out the village from backwardness. He said, ‘need of the hour is to come out to play a role in it, instead of just registering complains, so that the blot of backwardness can be removed.’

Veteran Member of Parliament Shafiqur Rahman Burq also lauded the efforts of HWF and addressed the villagers.

Prominent personalities like Shia leader Muzaffar Hussain Turabi, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind UP’s President Mohammed Ahmed, Abdul Hamid Adam, former mayor of Muradabad Humayun Qadeer and a big gathering of villagers also present in the function. National Coordinator of HWF Saleemullah Khan coordinated the function.

Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of MILAK PALLUPURA

New Delhi 17 Aprill :.As a part of our social development Programme for Marginalised Rural Population, the Foundation has planned to adopt some villages, try to bring them up as “MODEL VILLAGE” by carrying out different developmental activities. Accordingly it is decided to adopt “MILAK PALLUPURA” village of Moradabad District in U.P. as one of our Model Village Project and Programmes are being taken up to provide basic infrastructure facilities i.e. Primary Education, Health care, Sanitation, Housing for Poor, Roads & Drainage facility, Safe Drinking Water, Self Employment Scheme for poor, Empowerment of Rural Women etc.

“Vision 2016” is an ambitious plan to positively transform the social development landscape of the country, giving preference to Primary Education, Health Care, Employment Generation, Interest Free Microfinance & Legal Help etc.

The Plan envisages the establishment of multiple institutions across the country with a strong back-up of committed volunteers and dedicated leaders

A Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony will be held on 1st May 2011, Sunday to launch this important project.

Final touch being given to Al-Shifa hospital


New Delhi,14th April:Final touch is being given to a 300-bed Al-Shifa hospital at Dawat Nagar, Abul Fazal Enclave. Within one and half month, the multi-specialty hospital will get operational, according to Authorities of Al-Shifa hospital.With everything in place, the hospital is just waiting to for the required electricity facility to get started.

It is understood that hospital Authorities has also requested local MP Sandeep Dikshit, who visited the hospital recently, to help the hospital get the required power. Local councilor Engineer Jamaluddin and Shoeb Danish, had accompanied the MP.

The hospital will provide health care facilities like obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and neonatology, internal medicine (general medicine) and general surgery. Besides, the Al-Shifa hospital will also provide specialist consultation in cardiology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, nephrology, pulmonology, ENT, dermatology, dental and ophthalmology.

Its main aim is providing affrodable health care facility.

The Al-Shifa Multi-specialty hospital is the brainchild of Human Welfare Trust, which is part of the nationally-acclaimed NGO, Human Welfare Fundation that plans to open more such hospitals across India.

Annual General Body Meeting of HWF



New Delhi: The Annual General Body Meeting of HWF was held on 09th April, 2011 at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi.
Prof. K. A. Siddique Hassan sb welcomed all the trustees who participated in the AGBM of HWF. He showed grief over the ill health of Saiyid Hamid for the attending the meeting. He prayed for last recovery of Saiyid Hamid sb.
Prof. K. A. Siddique Hassan sb said that the HWF and its staffs have been appreciating among media, people, leaders and social activists of India.
He said that the charitable Organisation in abroad look HWF in respectable manner and assume this NGO a leader one in India. He also said some NGOs and philanthropists have proposed a big sum of money for the implementation of vision 2016 welfare program including soon starting of Alshifa Hospital in Delhi.
Jb Zafar sb, chairman of HWF said that one or two Assistant General Secretary of Human Welfare Foundation is needed to be appointed soon to share the work of HWF. Prof. K. A. Hassan said that NGOs are working under HWF like APCR, SBF, MSS, Sahulat Microfinance Institution and two NGOs are needed to be added one will be on women empowerment and second will be on underpriveldged
He said that it is a matter of happiness for the staffs of HWF and associated trustees and patrons of HWF that on ethe same date of annual general body meeting Economic Times has published an article on the welfare program of vision 2016 and establishment of microfinance institutions across the nation.
Before this, Mint newspaper ( a newspaper of HT) has recently covered on the establishment of Sahulat microfinance institutions in India.
The participants gave some plan and ideas for the better fulfillment of projects and welfare program of vision 2016. Bashir Kunnil gave advice for taking assistance from Azim Premji foundation who annually allot or sponsor educational projects. He said that our some educational projects can be sponsored through him.
He said that the students should be gone for aptitude test and thereafter they should be enrolled according to through him.
He said that 10% of minority seats in colleges are being unused by students due to not proper information so this seats should be used by the minority students and a pressure should be made on govt. and govt. officials for using these seats.
Retd IPS Manzoor sb,. a trustee of HWF said that govt allot 45000 crores of rupees for scholarship and financial assistance for the poor students of India out of which 5000 crores of rupees allot for the students of minority community but did not use by the students fully. He said that it is needed to make pressure on govt. and govt. officials for releasing the money for the welfare of poor students of minority community.
Prof. B. Sheikh Ali said that the students should be given traditional teaching along with they should be able to work in practical field. For this dedicated teachers should be appointed for imparting quality education to the children, because the future of India is decided in classroom. He said that there should be work school instead of study school.
Manzoor sb said that the children are needed to be given emphasis till class VIIIth so that their studies can be easier in higher classes and courses.
Prof. K. A. Siddique Hassan sb said that APCR an affiliates NGO of HWF has done remarkable work in this short span of time, he further said that APCR has made it possible to give justice to innocent people and released some 900 detainees and apart form this APCR has given justice to old age people and became successful for granting pension to the old age people by use of RTI.
He showed immense happiness for the Padma Shri Award which has recently been awarded to Azad Moopan sb.
S. Hassan said that Azad Moopan is agreed to propose or allot 20% of his wealth for the implementation of welfare program of vision 2016.
Farooque sb, trustee of HWF said that the students who are wishing to go abroad should be given training on vocational and technical training at affordable charges which are generally taken by youths in metropolitan cities. A meeting was decided to take place after the completion of 5 years of vision 2016 program so that the program and projects can be implemented in a planned way.

APCR started Delhi Chapter


New Delhi: APCR, a national NGO which is looking after civil rights of citizens of India has started its Delhi chapter in a meeting which held at Markaz of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

On this occasion, secretary of APCR highlighted the role of APCR and the problem coming on the way for getting justice and civil right.

Md. Rafat, Ameer-e-Halqua, Delhi and Haryana said about the importance of starting of Delhi chapter of APCR.

On this occasion, the general secretary of the organisation, Prof. K. A. Siddique Hassan chaired the meeting and said that the people should be aware for their civil rights and puts emphasis that the people should do struggle for getting justice for their civil rights.

On this occasion, the active member of APCR, Akhlaque Ahmed introduce the people of the activities and achievement of APCR. He said that APCR is putting emphasis for making aware the people about their civil rights and how they can get justice for their civil rights.

On the same day, APCR organised a programme at the headquarter of SIO and about 35 students participated in that programme.

This should be noted that APCR Karnataka chapter has achieved success in very short span of time. It has been successful for releasing some 900 prisoners from jail who have been imprisoned for false cases.

Besides this, 1200 people are taking pension with the help of RTI.

Shakil Ahmed, Secretary invited the students for playing a major role for the safety of civil rights of people and he introduced the activities and achievement of APCR so far.
