ASSAM-BANGAL TOUR APCR

Following the visit of Assam during 20-22 July 09 to carry forward the project of building a nation-wide network of trained para- legal social activists at grass-root level and Chapter formation of APCR, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, Director, APCR along with Mahtab Alam, Coordinator, travelled to Guwahati and Badarpur once again during 24-31 December 09. Details of the tour are as follows:
Assam (North)
26-27 December, 2009, Guwahati
A two days training workshop has been organized at Hotel Moosoon Palace, Guwahati on the above mentioned dates. Around 50 activists from 16 districts of Assam participated in the workshop. It was also agreed during a meeting with local leadership within a month and informed to the center accordingly. A brief report of the workshop is attached here with.
Assam (South)
29-30th December 09, Badarpur
A similar two days training workshop has been organized at Al-Ameen Complex, Badarpur during the above mentioned dates. Around 25 activists from 5 district of South Assam participated in the workshop. At the conclusion of the workshop an ad hoc committee for six months has also been formed and Mr. Bilal Ahmad Khan has been appointed as it Convener. West Bengal
It was also scheduled to review the activities of APCR West Bangal during our journey but due to unavailability of concerned persons in Kolkata the time while going Assam (as both Amir-e-Halqa, Rahmat Ali sahib as well as Secretary Halqa and Convener of the Chapter , Dr. Masihur Rahman sahib were on official tour), we could not make it.
